About
My wife Tonya and I live in midtown Toronto. I’m a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto studying the problem of back injury in nurses. I’m originally from Sudbury, Ontario, love the outdoors, podcasts, audiobooks, walking to work and photography. I started this blog based on what I’d learned in trying to find ways of preventing back injury in caregivers. I was surprised by how much mis-information was out there (e.g. it’s ok to manually lift people as long as you use proper body mechanics). It struck me that nurses are not given the tools and information to protect their own health. So I wanted to share what I’d learned.
I have three other blogs:
Layman’s Lens – Life is beautiful
WDYTMS (Why didn’t you tell me sooner) – Tools, techniques and stories that made my life better and everyone should know about
Dharona – Ideas are meant to be shared
Why so many blogs? Must be the obsessive compulsion in me. A place for everything and everything in its place.
